Obed was born in Kediri on January 25, 1977. He is the founder of the Tiadaruang art group. He is also an active exhibitor. He is a loyal fan of Liverpool FC and Persebaya. He is an active writer and researcher on pop culture, street art, and identity politics. He teaches art history, Indonesian cultural history, aesthetics, street art, and the sociology of design.
